Son-day is on the Way!
Today is Good Friday, the day that we remember the sacrifice that Jesus made.
The first Good Friday was a sad, confusing, dark day.
Jesus’ disciples, followers, and family lost a friend, a leader, a brother, and a son.
Naturally, there was nothing 'good' about that day... an innocent man was unjustly accused of falsehoods and lies.
He supported the people, He supported the government.
Most of all, He looked to fulfill the call of God on His Life, completely.
But spiritually, what happened that Friday was necessary in order for us to experience the events that take place on Sunday!
It is important as Christians to remember, especially during these sad, confusing, and dark times; where we are tired, worried, and concerned... our Son-day is coming! That is the day we see with our eyes and experience with our lives the hope and the promises secured by our Messiah for us on Friday, delivered to us on Son-day.
See, He is risen! He said He would rise and He did! God sends out His Word and It accomplishes what It was sent to accomplish!
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed. - 1 Peter 2:24 NKJV
